Patient Responsibilities
Patients are expected to co-operate with the practice by keeping appointments, requesting non-urgent home visits before 11.00 a.m. and allowing at least 48 hours for repeat medication requests.
Patients are also expected to be polite and courteous to the staff.
Abusive behaviour, either verbal or physical will not be tolerated and may result in a patient being removed from the practice list.
Confidentiality
This practice is registered under the Data Protection Act. Therefore we uphold the ethics of the medical profession that information held and the disclosure of such information should only be made in accordance with the strict code of professional confidentiality.
All staff are trained in and are aware of the importance of patient confidentiality.
No information about patients will be released without written patient consent.
